About Teeth
»I have often said that Teeth is the disease, whereas Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words is the symptom. I am often told that however dark and sad my music is, there's always a gleam of hope present. Teeth has nothing of that. I am not sure what Teeth is. You can call it an alter ego if you want, but personally I look at it as a whole other entity. Teeth is the Black Hole Heart that pumps bile through my veins. Teeth is a spectre, a phantasm. It's always there even though it's not always apparent. It cancels out all colors. It distorts beauty. It builds up walls.«
Ekelund (b. 1977) is a graphic designer, musician and visual artist. He has released music under a long line of guises both solo and in constellations such as Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words, Dead Violets & Normal Music to name but a few.
Ekelund currently resides in Gothenburg, Sweden.
